Who we are
Storyhaus Ltd is a video production company registered in England and Wales, company number 16789889, with its registered office at 30 Greenbox, Weston Hall Road, Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, B60 4AL.

What we collect
When you fill in an enquiry form on this website, we collect your name, business name, email address and, if you choose to provide it, your phone number, along with anything you write in the message field.
If you email us or speak to us directly, we hold the contact details and correspondence you share with us.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this website.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, to discuss a possible project, and to send you information you have asked for such as availability, a proposal or a quote.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to a business enquiry you have chosen to send us. If we later want to send you marketing that is not a reply to your enquiry, we will ask for your consent first, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run our business, and they process data on our behalf under contract:
- Web3Forms, which delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox
- Vercel, which hosts this website
- Our email and business software providers
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless we are required to by law.
Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the safeguards required under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not lead to work together, we delete your details within 24 months of our last contact.
If we do work together, we keep project records for as long as we need them to deliver the work and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, normally six years after the end of the relationship.
Filming and footage
Our work involves filming people. Where we film on behalf of a client, that client is normally the data controller for the footage and is responsible for obtaining consent from the people appearing in it. We process that footage on their instructions.
Where we use footage to promote Storyhaus, for example in a portfolio or on social media, we do so with the client's written permission.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
